It annoys me how people say a transformer can't be brought back, even though we seen them return so many times. Fine, Blackout or Grindor, same or not the same, Doesn't matter. Just let people have their opinion and think what they think,

Example: Optimus died, REVIVED. Megatron died 3 times already, REVIVED.
And yet people say they can't be brought back.
Anyways, I'd imagine Grindor was originally supposed to be Blackout, but in mid production they changed him to Grindor, and upscaled, unless Blackout was that big too, also changed vechicle mode for Grindor, which would explain why Grindor has rust on him, as he was originally Blackout, who maybe was also left underwater. But then, there's plothole I noticed, in the first movie, when people were dropping Megatron's body to the ocean, you could see parts of Blackout on the ship too. Which makes me confused, but I could imagine the shard that reactivated Megatron could also have send the energy wave near Blackout, who got rebuilt the same as Frenzy when he got near the Allspark, unless it brought his parts back to him meanwhile, as the shard that revived Megs wasn't the Allspark.
But then, maybe Blackout was sent to be researched? Either way, great video, Osro, I know it's old and nobody is probably going to read this but I wanted to put my theory here.

Blackout and Grindor are two different robots. It's like in the comics, Bumblebee and Cliffjuer look exactly alike except they have different paint colors.

I think there are some minor differences between Blackout and Grindor.

The first one is the vehicle mode Blackout is a MH-53, while Grindor turns into a CH-53 and Blackout rotates his rotor blade in the opposite direction of Grindor's.

You forgot the the chest cannon! Ah well, can't get upset over the little details! And 7249xxl, Grindor is a different character. He turns into the similar but still different than the Pave Low: Sea Stallion. Though to be fair, for little while I thought he was Blackout too.

people grindor was never in the movie. Just like megatron blackout got rebuild(repaired,revived,enc). Hasbro is the one that used Grindor name not the actual movie it self.
